Governor Rick Snyder announced appointments to several boards and commissions.
LANSING, MI
Qualifications Advisory Committee Chair: Jeffery Stuckey, of Okemos, serves as a member of the Qualifications Advisory Committee and is named chairman. He is an attorney with Dickinson Wright and a member of the Federal Bar Association, Western District of Michigan. The appointment as chair is made by the governor from the 10 person committee.
Workers Compensation Board of Magistrates Chair: Gordon Jay Quist, of Grand Rapids, is named chairman of the Workers Compensation Board of Magistrates. He has been a magistrate for five years. The appointment as chair is made by the governor from the 10 person committee.
Workers Compensation Board of Magistrates: Lisa Klaeren, of Kalamazoo, served as a magistrate since 2008 and is reappointed to serve a two-year term expiring January 2013. She previously served as a senior staff attorney for Hartford Insurance.
Beatrice Logan, of Southfield, is reappointed to a two-year term expiring January 2013. She previously served for a private practice and as an attorney for Goodman, Eden, Millender and Bedrosian in Detroit.
Louis Agnosanti, of Saginaw, is newly appointed to a two-year term expiring January 2013. He worked as an attorney with the Braun Kendrick Finkbeiner, P.L.C. in Saginaw.
Carol Guyton, of Detroit, is newly appointed to a two-year term expiring January 2013. She served on the Board of Magistrates from 1999-2010. She previously worked as an attorney for Wausau Insurance Co. and Travelers Insurance Co.
Chris D. Slater, of Spring Lake, is newly appointed to a two-year term expiring January 2013. He previously practiced law in Spring Lake. He has specialized in worker’s compensation issues with various Muskegon law firms since 1990.
Worker’s Compensation Appellate Commission Chair: Gregory A. Przybylo, of Okemos, is named chair of the appellate commission. He previously served as a private practice attorney. Przybylo also serves as a Worker’s Compensation Appellate Commission member. Appointment as chair is made by the governor from the appellate commission.
